WrightSock

How did we develop our Anti-Blister System™? It all started back in 1988 with a dad trying to help his son improve his sports performance. The son was suffering from blisters created by the back and forth motion required for running, quick maneuvers and repetitive motions. The more his son practiced, the more blisters he got from the friction and chafing of his socks. That dad was Jerry Wrightenberry, a second-generation hosiery manufacturer. When he saw that the blisters were hindering his son Joey’s performance, he realized his son didn’t have the right equipment. So, Jerry developed a sock that would prevent the moisture and friction of loose fitting socks from creating blisters.

That act of love turned into an innovation. Joey and his sister now run the third-generation company. And runners and athletes the world over wear the Wrightsock™ name, the original no-blister sock. Today, our game-changing concept and proprietary manufacturing ensure we make the best possible Double Layer® sock. Since 1988, we have consistently made advancements in the manufacturing process to keep our sock technologically advanced.

All Wrightsock™ products are made in the USA at our plant in Burlington, NC established in 1948.
